aMaes Photography hereby grants the Client permission to reproduce, display, distribute, or use the copyrighted photographic material for personal use only. Client may do the following: print images and share on social media for personal use. You may not distribute, duplicate, or use the copyrighted material for financial gain, advertisement, and/or commercial use of any kind. You may not edit, modify, or create derivative works of the copyrighted material without the citation of my name or with written approval.
DUE DILIGENCE: KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
Prior to utilizing an image, ensure you have completed the following steps:

Prior to utilizing an image, ensure you have completed the following steps:
- Identify the creator (aMaes Photography). Despite inadequate captioning by others, it's essential to ascertain the original creator of the image.
- Determine where and how you are using the images: prints for your home, sharing on social, or submitting to another company or publication?
- Once you have determined the above, then determine the rights for redistribution. Remember, fair use doesn't typically extend to redistribution beyond personal use. Since all your work done with aMaes Photography is copyrighted, seek permission; if it's license-free, confirm its status of use. (see below and how to use).
CREDIT & USE: WHO, WHAT, WHERE
PERSONAL USE:
This pertains to individuals seeking lifestyle and personal headshots for non-commercial purposes.
WHERE: on social media (Instagram or Facebook)
HOW: use @amaes_photography within the caption or tag the image.
PROFESSIONAL USE:
This applies to individuals or businesses intending to utilize images for commercial purposes within their internal marketing and business operations, including website, branding, print, magazine, social media and marketing materials.
WHERE: This includes publications (such as print media, magazines, and website articles), as well as social media platforms (like Instagram or Facebook), and websites where applicable.
HOW:
- For social: use @amaes_photography within the caption or tag the image.
- For publications: use Jennica Elise Maes and/or Jennica E. Maes, aMaes Photography
NOTE:
If images are not credit a fine may be sent or legal actions may be taken. Please reference your Terms & Conditions contract.
The images must be acquired for NON-PERSONAL USAGE. To clarify, when an organization seeks to license a photo, it falls under non-personal use. Alternatively, if the purpose is not for individual use (example: inhouse marketing or social use), it qualifies as non-personal. Please note that "organization" encompasses not-for-profit entities, non-governmental organizations, voluntary groups, charities, and commercial enterprises alike. Sharing with another company, brand, or individual outside the contract holder falls under commercial use or extended personal use. Financial gain also falls under commercial use - You must purchase a commercial use license for these images. Failure to do so, may result in a fine may be sent or legal actions may be taken. Please reference your Terms & Conditions contract.
