The House Rules

Company and Client agree that these “House Rules” are hereby incorporated into and made part of the Agreement. Capitalized terms not specifically defined in the House Rules will have the same meaning as in the Terms and Conditions. The House Rules contain important policies, procedures, best practices, and safety measures that the Company has in place to ensure quality performance of the Services. The Company may review and update the House Rules from time to time and Client will be notified of any such updates within seven (7) business days. 

  1. YOU’VE GOT PHOTOS & GALLERY DOWNLOAD
    Client will receive a YOU’VE GOT PHOTOS email with a link to Client’s images gallery. Client is responsible for downloading the file within ninety (90) days of receiving the gallery link. The Company is not responsible for the storage of Client’s images past the ninety (90) day period nor is the Company responsible if the files are no longer available after the ninety (90) day download period has expired. Company suggests the Client use a hard drive or USB to download its images from the gallery. Any requests for images beyond the proscribed period may incur additional Fees for adding or resending images.

  2. PAYMENT POLICY
    Payment reserves Client’s slot, session breakdown, culling, editing, traveling withing X miles, and gallery of images. The Fee amount, along with a $30.00 fee for Client’s 90-day photo storage includes all Services listed on the Package Sheet. Fee amounts are based on the Company’s current pricing at the time of booking. Pricing is adjusted periodically, and future bookings shall be charged at the price in effect at the time when the booking is placed.

  3. CLIENT RESCHEDULING & REFUNDS
    Due to the custom nature of each Package Sheet, all sales are final. The only time a full refund may be available is due to extenuating circumstances that do not allow the Client to reschedule (e.g., death). The Client must notify Company at least 1-2 days before the scheduled session and must meet a specific requirement that will not allow for rescheduling of the session.

  4. COMPANY RESCHEDULING & REFUNDS
    If the Company, cannot perform the Agreement in whole or in part due to COVID-19, a pandemic, an epidemic, health situations, or other extenuating circumstances beyond the control of the Company, such as natural disasters or acts of God, the Company shall either (i) find and hire an alternative photographer, (ii) reschedule the Client’s session, (iii) issue a full credit for the Fees to Client's account for use at a later date, or (iv) reimburse the full Fee amount to the Client (including any deposit amounts, if applicable). The Company is not liable for any failure to render Services that occurs in accordance with this paragraph, including if photographic materials are damaged in processing, lost through camera malfunction, lost in the mail, or otherwise lost or damaged with fault on the part of the photographer.

  5. TARDINESS / NO SHOW
    Client’s failure to show up to its session on time may result in a "no-show," shortened session, or cancellation if such tardiness exceeds 15 minutes. If Client’s session is a mini-session (as specified on the Package Sheet) , tardiness exceeding 5-10 minutes may also result in a "no-show," shortened session, or cancellation. In such instances, the Fees shall be non-refundable, and the session can only be rescheduled with a new payment/deposit made.

  6. RESHOOTS
    Re-shoots are at the sole and absolute discretion of the Company. Company will not provide any reshoots for regretful personal choices such as hair or clothing style, location dislikes, etc.

  7. IMAGES SELECTED
    The Company will choose the best images from Client’s session. The Company does not show unedited images, nor involve the Client in the process of choosing which images will be selected for the final gallery. The Company spends a great deal of time going through each image individually. Please rest assured that the Company will only provide Client the best of the best and any unappealing images (for example eyes closed, unflattering facial expressions, and most definitely, any images that do not meet the Company’s high professional standards) will get deleted immediately. RAW or unedited images will not be given to the Client. Note: Images selected are up to the photographer and will be given a mix of images. Unless specifically discussed the images do not need to include every option of groupings. You will receive a vast mix of images; however, it is not promoted or promised that you will get every specific pairing of members/ etc.

  8. PHOTO + EDITING STYLE
    The Company believes in creating a culture that sees itself raw. Photos will be edited to enhance coloring, vision, and aesthetics, which can be based on the images you see on aMaesphotography.com and on social platforms. Photos will not be altered to shave away someone’s years or body. The Company believes in the beauty of each human’s characteristics, and personality and 100% believes in being your authentic self. Altering a human’s body plays into body dysmorphia, social stigmas, and mental health crises. The Company refuses to be part of this problem. Instead, the Company chooses to embrace and celebrate the uniqueness we each play on this planet.

  9. COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS
    To make sure we are doing our part during this time, the below is required during our shoot:
           
  • Hand sanitizer was applied before and after each shoot (by both the photographer and Client)
  • If you or any family member are sick, please request a re-shoot date
  • If the photographer is sick, this will be rescheduled for the safety of all parties
  • If social distancing is an option during the session, please allow for this room
  • If the pandemic is at a high social distancing must be put into place: No touching the client during the session will occur; including, not moving hair or touching the client's face - if touching the hair, blanket, etc. is necessary the photographer will ask before doing

Note: The Company will do its part during the pandemic and/or future pandemics. If the Client were to get sick during or around the time of their session – the Company is NOT liable.
